Vodafone Idea subsidiary You broadband rolls out new broadband plans with up to 200 Mbps speed

The new broadband plans are being rolled out in Ahmedabad and will range from 30 Mbps to 200 Mbps and will come with a 3.5TB or 3,500GB fair usage policy.

Vodafone Idea’s subsidiary, You broadband which functions in some circles of India, is rolling out a range of new broadband plans. These plans will compete with plans from current offerings Airtel XStream, JioFiber, BSNL and Excitel. The ISP has introduced the plans in the Ahmedabad circle, after which it may extend its offers to more telecom circles.These broadband plans will range from 30 Mbps to 200 Mbps and will come with 3.5TB or 3,500GB fair-usage-policy (FUP) data and will be inclusive of GST, Telecom talk reported. You Broadband website also shows the available plans for the Ahmedabad circle. The plans are available for a month’s validity, three months’ validity, six months’ validity and one year’s validity.

For a month’s validity, You broadband will give 30 Mbps, 50 Mbps and 75 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps speed at Rs 472, Rs 679, Rs 738, Rs 826 and Rs 1026 respectively.

For three months’ validity, You broadband will give 30 Mbps, 50 Mbps and 75 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps speed at Rs 1416, Rs 2036, Rs 2213, Rs 2478 and Rs 3186 respectively. The plan will give an additional 5 days validity.

For six months’ validity, the ISP will give 30 Mbps, 50 Mbps and 75 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps speed at Rs 2832, Rs 4071, Rs 4425, Rs 4956 and Rs 6372 respectively. The plan will give a bonus of 10 days.

For one-year validity, You broadband will give 30 Mbps, 50 Mbps and 75 Mbps, 100 Mbps and 200 Mbps speed at Rs 5664, Rs 8142, Rs 8850, Rs 9912 and Rs 12,744 respectively. This plan will give an additional validity of 30 days.

If these plans become widely available, they are likely to give a tough competition to Airtel XStream and JioFiber. You broadband plans in the available circles are slightly expensive as compared to other ISPs. With the newly introduced benefits in Ahmedabad circle, the ISP is likely to get more subscribers.

Earlier this month, Vodafone Idea Limited (VIL)’s business arm, Vi Business launched integrated Internet of Things (IoT) solutions for enterprises. Vi noted that this is an industry-first initiative and that it has become the only telecom company in India to offer “a secure end-to-end IoT solution offering that comprises connectivity, hardware, network, application, analytics, security and support.” It further noted that the offering is designed to simplify and accelerate the digital transformation journey for enterprises. Vi also announced new postpaid plans for business starting at Rs 299.
